What We Believe

See a brief overview of our beliefs as well as our complete Articles of Belief.

Core Beliefs

JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the absolute Deity of the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and that as man He was miraculously begotten of the Holy Ghost (Matt. 1:20) and born of the virgin, Mary (Is. 7:14).

GOD THE FATHER
God the Father sent and gave the Son to be our Savior (Jn. 3:16). He sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter. He is the Giver of every good and perfect gift; He is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort (II Cor. 1:3).

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person (Jn. 14:16,17), the source and power of all acceptable worship and service, and our abiding Comforter and Helper (Jn. 15:26).

THE FALL OF MAN
We believe that man, originally created in the image and after the likeness of God (Gen.1:26), fell by eating the forbidden fruit, becoming dead in his trespasses and sins (Eph. 2:5).

SALVATION
We believe that no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless born again (Jn. 3:3-5). We believe that our redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:7). We believe that Christ is received by repentance and faith alone (Acts17:30).

THE CHURCH
We believe that the Church, which is His Body, is composed of all who are united by the Holy Spirit to the risen and ascended Son of God (Eph. 2:22,23).

THE SCRIPTURES
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. (II Tim. 3:16,17; II Pet. 1:21).

SATAN
We believe that Satan is the enemy of God, that he is destined to final defeat at the hands of Jesus Christ (II Thess. 2:8-11), and that he shall be cast into the Lake of Fire forever and ever (Rev. 20:10).

HEAVEN AND HELL
We believe that the souls of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation do at death immediately pass into His presence (II Cor. 5:8), but the souls of unbelievers shall be cast into the Lake of Fire.

CREATION
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth, including all life, each after its own kind, by a direct act and not by the process of evolution (Gen. 1:2; Col. 1:16,17; Jn. 1:3).

CHURCH ORDINANCES
We believe that Christian baptism is the believer’s immersion in water (Acts 8:36-39; Matt. 3:6; Jn. 3:23) into the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Lord’s Supper is an ordinance and not a sacrament (Luke 22:1-20), that is to be shared in only by those who are consciously in fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ by faith.
