Kids Ministry at Allendale Baptist Church
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14).
It is clear from Scripture that Jesus loves children. Children are important to Jesus, and they are important to us, too!
Our 3 different kids rooms are labelled with large banner signs. If you need any help finding them, don't be afraid to ask.
(Ages 0-2) We offer childcare for infants and toddlers during the morning worship service. Allendale Baptist Church provides a loving and caring environment for these children. Parents of our littlest attendees can be certain their child is being cared for by individuals who are able to provide a safe and secure place for their child. This allows parents to fully focus on the message being presented in the worship service, build friendships, and learn more about the Word of God.
(Ages 3-5) At this age we begin introducing the children to bible stories and songs and often make crafts. We introduce the children to a lightly structured time to help prepare them for when they are old enough to be in Children's Church.
(Age 6 - Grade 5) At this age, the children stay in the main service for worship and then are dismissed to their classroom before the sermon. Our teachers use the Generations of Grace curriculum created by John MacArthur's Grace to You ministry. We appreciate that this curriculum focuses on the gospel and Jesus Christ. It is our desire that our kids learn about Jesus Christ through His Word.
We our glad to say we have robust security practices and measures. Here is a highlight of some of our security measures:
We have access to Allendale Christian School's camera surveillance system and have a security team member watching the screens at all times.
We also have security team members who do multiple walk-throughs of the building throughout the Sunday morning ministries, specifically making sure all children's classrooms are safe and secure.
All children's teachers have a walkie-talkie in which they can alert our security team members if there are any issues.
The doors to the various kid's rooms stay locked during service times.
Also, we have a long list of members who are prepared to perform CPR or First Aid if the need arises.
All of our kids volunteers undergo thorough background checks.
We have at least two volunteers at any time in a room with children (usually more).
Additionally, we have thorough safety measures in place in the extremely-rare case that live-shooter targets Allendale Baptist Church.
It is our hope that parents will feel safe trusting their children with us during our Sunday morning Ministries.
