Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven”

It is clear from Scripture that Jesus loves children.
Children are important to Jesus, and they are important to us, too!

Sunday Mornings

Children's Equipping Classes

Welcome to our Children's Equipping Class, a joyful adventure where young hearts dive into the wonders of Scripture and the boundless love of Christ.

Our class is specially designed to ignite a lifelong love for God's Word and nurture a personal relationship with Jesus in a fun and age-appropriate way.

In our Children's Equipping Class, your young learners will:
  • Explore Scripture: Children will embark on a journey through the Bible, discovering its stories, lessons, and timeless truths. Each class brings the Bible to life, allowing them to engage with the Word of God.
  • Encounter Christ: We center our teachings around the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.
  • Grow in Faith: Our class nurtures a strong foundation of faith. Children will develop a deeper understanding of who God is and how much He loves them, fostering a meaningful connection with their Creator.
  • Connect with Jesus: We encourage children to build a personal relationship with Jesus through prayer, reflection, and worship. Enjoy
  • Creative Lessons: Learning about Scripture and Christ is an exciting journey! Our classes are filled with engaging activities, games, and stories that make each lesson a memorable experience.
  •  Ask Questions: Curiosity is embraced! Children are encouraged to ask questions about the Bible, Jesus, and faith.
Our Children's Equipping Class is a place where the love of Christ and the wisdom of Scripture come alive. Together, we'll nurture a deep love for God's Word and a personal relationship with Jesus that will illuminate their path throughout life.

Come and experience the joy of learning and growing in Christ's love! Check-in at the Children's Counter for room location.

Nursery & Pre-K

(Ages 0-5) We offer childcare for infants and toddlers during the morning worship service. Allendale Baptist Church provides a loving and caring environment for these children. Parents of our littlest attendees can be certain their child is being cared for by individuals who are able to provide a safe and secure place for their child. This allows parents to fully focus on the message being presented in the worship service, build friendships, and learn more about the Word of God.

At ages 3-5 we begin introducing the children to bible stories and songs and often make crafts. We introduce the children to a lightly structured time to help prepare them for when they are old enough to be in Children's Church.

Children's Church

(Age 6 - Grade 5) At this age, the children stay in the main service for worship and then are dismissed to their classroom before the sermon. Our teachers use the Gospel Project curriculum created by LifeWay. We appreciate that this curriculum focuses on the gospel and Jesus Christ. It is our desire that our kids learn about Jesus Christ through His Word.

Security

We our glad to say we have robust security practices and measures. Here is a highlight of some of our security measures:

We have security team members who do multiple walk-throughs of the building throughout the Sunday morning ministries, specifically making sure all children's classrooms are safe and secure.

All children's teachers have a walkie-talkie in which they can alert our security team members if there are any issues.

The doors to the various kid's rooms stay locked during service times.

Also, we have a long list of members who are prepared to perform CPR or First Aid if the need arises.

All of our kids volunteers undergo thorough background checks.

We have at least two volunteers at any time in a room with children (usually more).

Additionally, we have thorough safety measures in place in the extremely-rare case that a live shooter targets Allendale Baptist Church.

It is our hope that parents will feel safe trusting their children with us during our Sunday morning ministries.
