Prepare the Way of the Lord (Malachi 4:4-6)

How do you prepare for the arrival of a King?

As the Old Testament comes to a close, God’s final words are not words of farewell, but words of preparation. Before four hundred years of silence, the Lord calls His people to remember His Word, anticipate His messenger, and prepare their hearts for His coming.

These verses point beyond Malachi’s day to the ministry of John the Baptist and ultimately to Jesus Christ, the long-awaited Savior. God’s message remains the same today: His people must be ready for His arrival by listening to His Word and turning their hearts back to Him.
