Read: Re-read 1 Corinthians 6:12-20.

Think: After considering the profound implications of this passage, ask yourself the following questions: How does it impact your thinking and behavior when you consider that God the Father made you? How do you balance the tension between “permissible” and “beneficial? Between “permissible” and “addicting”? How does your eternal destiny impact your attitude toward sex? Have you considered your relationship with Jesus in “sexual” terms before? How does your union with your spouse inform your understanding of your relationship with Jesus Christ? And vice versa? How do you feel when you realize Jesus is right there with you in your sexual thoughts and behavior? What benefits can you think of as the Holy Spirit takes up residence within you? If sex is a normal part of our human existence, why is God so concerned with sexual purity? Have you ever pondered the truth of the Trinity’s participation in your sex life?

Do: How can you begin a “temple maintenance program” to help protect your sexuality?
